An Exceptional Course

GOLF COURSE

THE LAYOUT
Tucked into historical Islington Village and Mimico Creek valley, Islington Golf Club is a challenging 18 hole, par 72 golf course and features tree-lined, parkland style golf holes, rolling terrain, and the meandering Mimico Creek. The course, however, has also benefitted from a recent commitment of considerable funds for course improvements that include bunker redesign, hazard restoration, water reservoir construction, and new irrigation system.

PLAYING A ROUND OF GOLF
Golfers will find play on the early holes is deceiving, with challenging holes requiring greater shot variations the rest of the way. That being said, the course is a pleasure to walk and players enjoy a comfortable 4h 10m pace of play. Our walk-on tee time system also allows members the flexibility to fit in a round of golf at a moment’s notice—a perk at a course conveniently located in Toronto’s west end. However, members with two or more guests may reserve tee times up to one week in advance.

PLAY YOUR BEST WITH THE HELP OF OUR DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS
Our experienced golf professionals are available to assist everyone with the development of their golf abilities. Individual lessons and group clinics are available, and our on-site winter golf school keeps golfers’ skills sharp during the off-season. A strong Junior program also helps to develop the skills of our next generation of golfers.

RBC CANADIAN OPEN and

ONTARIO MEN'S AMATEUR

Even after 87 years, the course continues to challenge golfers of all skill levels. In 2009, the club was host to the GAO Ontario Men’s Amateur and welcomed some of the best amateur golfers in Ontario. In 2010, Islington Golf Club partnered with the RBC Canadian Open and opened our facilities to some of the best pro golfers in the world. Hosting the practice facility at Islington Golf Club was a unique opportunity for the Islington golf community to play an important role in the Canadian Open’s return to Toronto for the first time since 1968.
